FOUNDATIONS OF VINYASA YOGA,
A FOUR WEEK SERIES
WEDNESDAY 5:45 PM - 6:45 PM
10/7, 10/14, 10/28, 11/4
This four-week series provides a structured introduction to vinyasa yoga, covering the essential poses, techniques, and concepts needed to build a confident, sustainable practice. Each class is one hour and progresses directly from the week before.
Week 1 – Foundation Students are introduced to breath work, sun salutations, and foundational standing poses. By the end of this week, students will have a working knowledge of vinyasa yoga's core building blocks and an understanding of how breath supports movement.
Week 2 – Strength & Expansion The series moves into chaturanga, a second set of standing poses, and introductory backbends. Students will develop functional upper body strength and a greater awareness of how the body works in a vinyasa sequence.
Week 3 – Flow & Mobility Focus shifts to linking poses through smooth transitions and incorporating twists. Students will gain the coordination and body awareness necessary to move fluidly from one pose to the next.
Week 4 – Integration The final class brings the full curriculum together into a cohesive vinyasa flow. Students will leave with the skills to modify and customize the practice for their individual needs — and the confidence to step into open-level classes knowing they have the tools to participate fully and safely.
No prior experience is required. Consistent attendance is recommended, as each week builds on the last. Need to miss a class? We have a recorded version to send your way.
